Choosing A Better Company

It isn't always easy to know how to make things better, but if you know how to look for problems, you can resolve situations proactively. Although this advice works in many respects, I have found it especially helpful while running my own business. Although I am far from an expert on business, it never ceases to amaze me how difficult running your own company can really be. I wanted to start a website to help others to know how to choose a better company, so I made this blog. Check out these posts for great tips on succeeding in business every day.

How V-Ray Compares To Other Options

by Gene Chapman

V-Ray Unreal is a rendering engine that has many of the same features as other rendering engines, but what makes this engine different is that it is able to do everything that most users are looking for while also being less expensive and performing rendering jobs more easily. If you are working in the Unreal Engine, there are many reasons why you'd want to choose V-Ray over other engines.

Speed

One of the advantages of V-Ray is that it is one of the fastest raytracers. This can help reduce rendering times and make you more productive. When you're working with small file sizes, you might not notice much of a difference. But the larger the file sizes, the more effective V-Ray will be. This allows you to avoid trading quality for speed.

Illumination

Illumination is an aspect of 3D rendering that can normally take a long time, but V-Ray is able to engage in 3D rendering at much faster speeds. You will be less likely to have issues when animating objects and when working with cameras. You are also able to achieve effects that other systems sometimes lack, such as motion blur. There is no simple and fast 2D motion blur effect within the program, but you are able to achieve 3D motion blur.

Processing Power

Even with best software, rendering can be a very time-consuming process. Even with a powerful processor, it simply takes time for computers to render images and even longer to render video. The higher the quality, the longer it will take. However, V-Ray has the option if using multiple processors to render images through a distributed network. With a license, you're able to use 10 computers and purchasing another license allows you to use 10 more computers. While this is a new technology and the kinks are being worked out, it's available right now.

Compatibility Issues

The only downside of using V-Ray or any other plugin is that it might be incompatible with other plugins. For this reason, you may want to test it on a version of Unreal Engine that does not have any other plugins installed.

V-Ray and Consumer Expectations

For game development, having the best rendered models is an important part of staying ahead of the competition. Gamers have high expectations for the level of quality that modern games have. But with V-Ray Unreal, the power of V-Ray can easily be integrated into the Unreal Engine.
